Born in Prison

The short film script, “Ha Shem” was gutted.  It was too academic.  The new film is called ‘Born in Prison” and it’s much more interesting.

Here’s an excerpt:

INT. KING’S COURTYARD – PRESENT

Two barely discernible bodies are facing one another.

The MUSIC is contemplative, serious.

A deep, strong voice permeates the space.

ASHER (V.O.): What I’m about to tell you is the truth, one hidden for centuries yet right under your nose. But since you’ve been programed to accept a substitute for the truth your entire life, you’ll have a very difficult time accepting it.

SLOWING COMING INTO FOCUS

It’s two Men and they’re sitting in uniquely intricate dark wooded chairs in an empty stone courtyard with white pillars and shafts of light surrounding them in the distance.
It’s royal in size and design. The “sense”of the place is surreal.

One person is a “weathered”, yet distinguished looking MAN in his 50s scanning a book. His name is ASHER.

The person opposite him is a young man,  jeans, leather jacket, cool. He’s STEPHEN.

Stephen is waiting for Asher to continue.

There’s an awkward silence. Finally…

ASHER (CONT’D): You don’t recognize this place do
you Stephen?

STEPHEN: Should I?

End Except

The film will most likely be launched on a new website, NotAsleep.com
